Two Fleury-Mérogis inmates escaped during a walk in the Fontainebleau forest

The two escapees are still on the run. A search warrant has been issued to find them.

Two inmates from the Fleury-Mérogis remand center (Essonne) escaped on Tuesday September 13 afternoon during a walk in the forest of Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne), franceinfo learned this Wednesday from a source close to the case. The Evry prosecutor also confirmed the escape of the two detainees to franceinfo.

The two detainees were participating, with others, in a running outing in the Fontainebleau Forest, specifies the source close to the case.

An investigation is opened and the Evry gendarmerie company is seized. A search warrant has been issued, specifies the Evry prosecutor.
