(Sainte-Geneviève-De-Berthier) A head-on collision between two vehicles on Friday evening was fatal for both drivers in Sainte-Geneviève-de-Berthier, in Lanaudière.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. on Route 158.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) indicated that the driver of a van, a 37-year-old man, would have deviated from his lane for an as yet undetermined reason. He collided with a van carrying a 42-year-old man who was coming from the opposite direction.
The two drivers were alone in their vehicle. They were transported to a hospital center where they were unfortunately declared dead.
An SQ investigator specializing in collisions went to the scene to analyze the scene and better understand the causes and circumstances surrounding this event.
Route 158 was closed for part of the night, but it is now reopened to traffic.
