Two people died and ten others were injured on Monday, November 13, during strikes on the center of Kherson, in southern Ukraine, announced the governor of the region, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram. They also have “destroyed or damaged” a hospital, an administrative building, around fifteen houses and an ambulance, he said

This “massive attack” targeted the city center, according to the head of the Kherson military administration. The inhabitants of this regional capital are now only 60,000 according to the authorities, compared to 300,000 before the start of the Russian invasion, launched in February 2022.

The country celebrated on Saturday the first anniversary of the liberation of Kherson by its army, which ended eight months of Russian occupation. But Moscow’s army remains very close to the area. Only the Dnipro River separates them from the city, which is bombarded almost daily. Ukrainian troops hold the right bank and are facing the Russian army, on the left bank, which still occupies part of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
