Two Canadian hopefuls among OHL stars

Montreal Canadiens prospects Owen Beck and Logan Mailloux have both been named Ontario Junior League (OHL) All-Star Teams.

Mailloux, a defender selected in the first round by the CH in 2021, finds himself among the second starred formation. He led all defensemen in the league with 25 goals in the regular season and continued to do damage in the playoffs with 24 points in 21 games.

His London Knights were also defeated in the final by Beck’s Peterborough Petes. The center player finds himself on the third team for the 2022-2023 season. The 19-year-old, selected in the second round in 2022, has amassed 66 points in 60 games. He is currently playing in the Memorial Cup tournament and has reached the semi-finals.

The two hopefuls are under contract with the Habs until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
