Two arson attacks target the buildings of Accurso’s daughter’s spouse

After the series of arson attacks on the properties of the family of ex-entrepreneur Tony Accurso, criminals this time attacked two properties of his daughter’s spouse in Laval and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu last night .

The two attacks, which occurred 62 kilometers apart, took place within minutes of each other. At 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, the Saint-Jean police received a call for a fire on rue Gaudette, the address of the company MS3 Alimentation inc., belonging in particular to Karol Fortin, spouse of Lisa Ray, the daughter of Accurso.

Then at 11:59 p.m., the Laval police received a call for a fire at 1410, rue de Jaffa, an office building also partly belonging to companies linked to Karol Fortin.

In both cases, firefighters found evidence of arson. On Rue de Jaffa in Laval, “an incendiary object was thrown into the window of the southeast facade,” said Stéphanie Beshara, spokesperson for the Laval police. It would be a Molotov cocktail.

The two police forces were already aware of the other fire which had occurred in the territory of their colleagues at the time when The Press contacted them. “There are exchanges of information,” said Jérémie Levesque, spokesperson for the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu police.

Repeated shootings and fires

A series of attacks has hit the Accurso family since last summer.

In October, a house of Lisa Ray was completely destroyed by flames, on the 15e avenue in Deux-Montagnes.

In August, shots were fired at the home of Tony Accurso’s son, Giovanni, also on 15e av. No one was there.

In July, it was a vehicle parked in the entrance of this house that caught fire.

In October, The Press revealed that the Deux-Montagnes police were studying the trail of a commercial dispute between the members of the extended family. Then in November, the Lac des Deux-Montagnes Police Department arrested four young minors near the residence of Tony Accurso in possession of incendiary material.

Lisa Ray and her spouse Karol Fortin had even agreed to submit to a lie detector test with a private polygraph examiner to shed light on these events.

The police also specified that they were also studying the trail of misdeeds linked to the potential illicit activities of a relative of a family member.

To talk about these events, Lisa Ray even made a remarkable appearance on the Sunday show Everybody talks about it. In an interview described as “confusing” and “uncomfortable” on social networks and in TV chronicles, she had not, however, provided any leads to explain these attacks.
