A man in his twenties died after being stabbed in an apartment in the South-West district. This is the second armed attack to occur in a few hours in Montreal.
The attack occurred during the night from Friday to Saturday in a home on rue Saint-Antoine, near rue Bourget.
On site, police located a victim, a 27-year-old man. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
No arrests were made. A security perimeter was erected to allow investigators from the major crimes section to assess the scene.
A few hours earlier, a 58-year-old man showed up at the hospital with injuries “caused by a sharp object.” “His life is no longer in danger,” said the spokesperson for the City of Montreal Police Department, Sabrina Gauthier.
The attack allegedly took place on René-Lévesque Boulevard, between Saint-Élisabeth and De Bullion streets, in the Ville-Marie borough.
