Two amateur cyclists traveled 2,196 kilometers across eight French departments to form a GPS drawing representing the five rings of the Olympic Games.

Guillaume Koudlansky de Lustrac and Vincent Brémond, two long-time friends passionate about cycling, decided to trace the five rings of the Olympic Games on French territory, thanks to an application which traces the journeys of athletes on a map, using GPS data. A big tour which lasted them ten days, and for which they passed through eight departments. You should never take the same path. The two amateur cyclists had to adapt their route so as not to deviate from the circles.

A world record broken

Followed on the web, the two cyclists were accompanied by other cyclists on the Parisian asphalt during the last kilometers. Starting from the Eiffel Tower, they arrived under the countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The two cyclists thus completed the longest GPS drawing on a team bike: 2,196 kilometers. They broke the world record previously held by the French. A father and his daughter had drawn a heart on French territory, for the benefit of the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association.
