A tragedy still unexplained. The bodies of twenty young people, who died without apparent injuries, were discovered on Sunday June 26 in a night bar in a township in East London, South Africa, local police announced. “We continue to investigate the circumstances of these deaths”told AFP a spokesman for the provincial police, General Thembinkosi Kinana, who is investigating the cause of these deaths.

The victims, presumably students celebrating the end of exams and the school year, were between 18 and 20 years old, the policeman added. “Three injured died in hospital and two remain in very critical condition”said on a local television channel the head of the security service of the provincial government.

A provincial health services official ruled out the possibility of a stampede or crowd movement, “because no victim has a visible open wound.” “It’s incredible, it’s incomprehensible, to lose twenty young people like this”released in shock the head of government of the Eastern Cape province, Oscar Mabuyane.
