TVA Group and the SCFP-687 union, which brings together unionized employees of the Montreal unit and the Quebec unit as well as regional branches, announced on Saturday that they had reached two agreements in principle.

The negotiations, having started in December 2023, were carried out with the help of a conciliator appointed by the Minister of Labor.
“The negotiation meetings led the parties to agree on the parameters of the new collective agreements and on the mitigation measures for employees affected by the announcement of November 2, 2023,” we can read in a joint press release from the two parts.
Remember that 547 layoffs were announced in November.
“Both parties say they are satisfied with the circumstances of the negotiated agreements which will allow them to face the major challenges facing the industry, while maintaining excellent working conditions and ensuring quality journalistic coverage throughout Quebec,” both parties clarified.
CUPE-687 and the TVA Group undertake not to make any further comments “until the agreements are submitted to the vote of the assemblies of the two union units”.
