Bruins beat Devils 5-3

Curtis Lazar had a goal and an assist on Tuesday, helping the Boston Bruins win 5-3 over the New Jersey Devils.

The Lightning stopped a three-game losing streak.

Brayden Point had one goal and two assists for the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Corey Perry and Patrick Maroon each got a net and an assist.

Pierre-Édouard Bellemare and Alex Killorn also hit the mark, while Anthony Cirelli was the accomplice of two goals.

Tampa Bay scored in three power play.

Author of 20 saves, Andrei Vasilevskiy was beaten by Dean Kukan and Gus Nyquist.

Vasilevskiy and Frederik Andersen of the Hurricanes lead the NHL with 17 wins this season.

Joonas Korpisalo made 29 saves for the Jackets, in his first start since November 27. The absence included a stay on the sidelines related to the COVID-19 protocol.

Panthers defeat Flames 6-2

Patric Hornqvist found the back of the net twice, Sergei Bobrovsky turned away 47 shots, a season-high for him, and the Florida Panthers defeated the Calgary Flames 6-2 on Tuesday.

The Panthers’ fourth successive victory was marked by a goal from Joe Thornton, who netted a 26e consecutive year. His first goal was scored on December 3, 1997.

The Panthers are 18-3-0 at home this season.

Anthony Duclair, Ryan Lomberg and Lucas Carlsson also hit the mark. Duclair has four goals in his last four games.

Sharks beaten 6-2 by Red Wings

Tyler Bertuzzi and Pius Suter scored twice each, and the Detroit Red Wings knocked down the San Jose Sharks 6-2 on Tuesday night.

Bertuzzi and Suter notably hit the mark with the same penalty kill. Dylan Larkin and Robby Fabbri were the Red Wings’ other scorers.

Alex Nedeljkovic blocked 24 shots for the Michigan team. Jasper Weatherby and Alexander Barabanov found the back of the net for the Sharks.

James Reimer made 20 saves on 24 shots, before being replaced by Adin Hill. The latter started the third third and stopped five shots out of seven.

Giovanni Smith was penalized for five minutes for giving streak to Jacob Middleton of the Sharks late in the first period.

Smith was sent off from the game and Middleton did not finish the game with an upper body injury.

Bertuzzi and Suter then scored 37 seconds apart, taking the Wings’ cushion to 2-0, 3-0.
