Draisaitl, McDavid and Miskanen shine in 3-0 Oilers win

Mikko Koskinen made 39 saves as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0 on Tuesday.

Leon Draisaitl had one goal and contributed to the other two goals.

Connor McDavid and Kailer Yamamoto scored the other goals for the Oilers, who are 17-0-0 when they score first.

Draisaitl and McDavid lead the National League with 77 points.

Draisaitl didn’t get a shot in the Oilers’ previous game, a 2-1 loss at Raleigh on Sunday.

Koskinen earned a sixth career shutout, his first since November 2019.

The Flyers have lost 20 of their last 23 meetings.

Lucas Raymond plays heroes by scoring in overtime against the Hurricanes

(Detroit) – Lucas Raymond found the back of the net with eight seconds left in overtime and the Detroit Red Wings ended the Carolina Hurricanes’ five-game winning streak given a 4-3 victory , Tuesday.

The 16and Raymond’s success of the season came when he jumped on the return of a Tyler Bertuzzi shot.

Carter Rowney, Michael Rasmussen and Dylan Larkin scored in regulation time for the Red Wings, who had been flagged in their last two games.

Alex Nedeljkovic made 27 saves in the win.

Sebastian Aho, Jesper Fast and Jordan Staal hit the mark for the Hurricanes.

Antti Raanta stopped 38 shots in the loss.

4-point night for Brayden Point against the Senators

(Tampa) – Brayden Point hit the target and aided in three more goals, Steven Stamkos extended his one-goal streak to five games and the Tampa Bay Lightning rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Ottawa Senators 5-2, Tuesday.

Point scored five times and totaled 11 points in a seven-game point streak.

Nikita Kucherov, Corey Perry and Mikhail Sergachev also found the back of the net for the Lightning, which passed the Florida Panthers at the top of the Atlantic Division.

Kucherov had a goal and an assist for a fourth straight game. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 25 saves.

Tyler Ennis and Zach Sanford blackened the first-period scoresheet for the Senators. Matt Murray stopped 17 shots in the loss.

Boone Jenner and Patrik Laine as thieves at the expense of the Devils

(Columbus) – Boone Jenner and Patrik Laine both had a goal and an assist, Jake Christiansen scored his first NHL goal and the Columbus Blue Jackets came from behind to defeat the New Jersey Devils 4- 3, Tuesday.

Jake Christiansen also flashed the goal light for the Blue Jackets, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Jakub Voracek had two assists.

Elvis Merzlikins stopped 30 shots to get his hands on his 19and win of the season.

Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier and Pavel Zacha rocked the ropes on the Devils side. Nico Daws made 27 saves in the loss.

The Flames continue their good streak by defeating the Wild

Matthew Tkachuk scored just a minute into the game and the Calgary Flames easily defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-1 on Tuesday for the second straight game.

Andrew Mangiapane, Elias Lindholm, Tyler Toffoli and Mikael Backlund have all also scored for the Flames, who have won 12 of their last 13 games. Johnny Gaudreau had two assists.

Jacob Markstrom made 32 saves in the win. He was also in goal for the Flames when they beat the Wild 7-3 in Calgary on Saturday.

Marcus Foligno was the lone scorer for the Wild, who suffered a fourth straight loss.

Cam Talbot stopped 22 of the 26 shots he faced in the loss.
