With already 19 albums to his name, and multiple awards in France and abroad, trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf has played on the most beautiful stages in the world. He will be in concert at the Grand Rex in Paris on the evening of Wednesday April 17. If this concert is sold out, he will give a concert at midnight, on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, at Yoyo, the Palais de Tokyo club in Paris. A concert “which has nothing to do with anything I’ve done over the last 20 years”he promises on franceinfo. “There are still some places”indicates the trumpeter.
Limiting work to the instrument is “a little reductive”
In his music, Ibrahim Maalouf “try to ensure that as many styles as possible are there, as much diversity as we all represent with our tastes, our different ages, our different cultures from all over the world”. The trumpeter states that “the instrument allows us to build something much bigger than just an instrument”. “When we limit the work to the instrument, I find it a little reductive, even for other musicians”he adds.
