On social networks, a former Yellow Vest claims to have discovered crucial information. According to him, the pharmaceutical laboratory Pfizer has just admitted that the anti-Covid vaccine would cause myocarditis, an inflation of the heart muscle which could lead to hospitalization. Comments also relayed by politician Florian Philippot on social networks. So, true or false ? It’s wrong !
What side effects?
Pfizer did issue a press release last September in which we can read: “Vaccines mRNA against COVID-19 (…) are at increased risk of myocarditis. But these side effects have been mentioned by Pfizer for a long time. In another press release from November 2021, he wrote: “Side effects reported with the vaccine include: (…) myocarditis.”In France, the side effects of anti-Covid vaccines are closely monitored by health authorities. L’ANSM indicates that “very rare cases of myocarditis (…) have been reported”particularly among young men. Furthermore, a British study explains that in general the risk of myocarditis is higher after contracting covid than after being vaccinated.
