On Tik Tok, an influencer followed by hundreds of thousands of people posts videos on social networks with negative discourse about school. Can this have an impact on young people?
He is followed by hundreds of thousands of subscribers on TikTok Tok and to be sure to reach as many people as possible, he even multiplied the accounts. For example, one of his accounts onentrepreneurship gives advice on starting your own business. Another media account is titled: “Don’t let them media you brainwash”. But his hobby horse is above all school. “This school system is there to create failure”, he says in one of his videos. Some students think that the baccalaureate is useless
Many young people seem to appreciate his words, as we can see in the comments left below the publications: “That’s why I want to stop classes, because I know I’m going to fail my life.” Young people feel understood and listened to by the influencer. Sophie Vénétitaygeneral secretary of SNES-FSUhas discussed several times with students who follow the tiktoker on the networks. “Sometimes we are faced with this difficulty, they tell us ‘Yes, but It was an adult who told us that we shouldn’t work and that the baccalaureate was of no use’ (…)adult against adult, they will end up speaking out please most”she explains. Contacted for an interview, the influencer did not wish to respond.
