TRUE OR FAKE. Where do these anti-Ukraine placards seen during demonstrations against pension reform come from?

How anti-Ukraine placards ended up amid protests against pension reform? A newspaper survey The world and other European media traced the course of these infiltrated pro-Russian claims. “European Union, America, stop funding the war in Ukraine,” read one of them.

According to Le Monde, this action, like others, was piloted directly from Russia. The staging aims to discredit the Ukrainians or to show that support in Europe is running out of steam. In a mock rally in Paris, two men posing as Ukrainians appear to rejoice in the deadly earthquake in Russia, with one even giving a Nazi salute.

Multiple actions with low impact

According to the survey of Le Monde, the man is in fact the same as during the demonstration against the pension reform. A Russian intelligence report cites this action and lists various purposes, such as “to show the ungrateful and provocative character of the Ukrainian reaction to the Turkish tragedy“. These actions are then broadcast on social networks to artificially inflate the scale. The newspaper has identified a dozen false actions within real gatherings in Paris therefore, but also in Spain, the Netherlands or Belgium.

Despite their limited impact on the networks, the accumulation of false actions aims to make people believe that the European population is increasingly hostile to Ukraine.
