Trudeau received his third dose of vaccine

(Ottawa) Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has joined the ranks of Canadians who rolled up their sleeves for a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Mr. Trudeau received his third dose at an Ottawa pharmacy on Tuesday morning.

The Prime Minister arrived around 8 a.m. and could be seen chatting with the pharmacist while the injection was being prepared.

The Prime Minister then threw his thumb up at the cameras and urged Canadians to get vaccinated.

Provinces have rushed to provide booster doses as the number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to reach new highs.

Several provinces have also chosen to delay the return to class in person in the New Year in order to limit the spread of the Omicron variant, which is highly transmissible.
