Trudeau helps the rich and taxes the ordinary world: his budget hurts

Tuesday’s budget was supposed to be an opportunity for Justin Trudeau’s Liberals to return to political success. However, it was rather shoddy work, which confirms the incompetence and carelessness of a worn-out team and about which the voters no longer want to know anything.

For weeks, Trudeau’s headliners have been crisscrossing the country to make stunning announcements suggesting what they were going to do with the budget.

On Tuesday, the public was instead treated to nearly 500 pages of mirages and deception.

The Liberals fiddled with and delayed spending announced in previous years to hide the fact that the deficit had in fact breached the promised $40 billion threshold.

Justin loves deficits

In 2015, Justin Trudeau made an unusual commitment: he promised not to have a balanced budget. It is clear that this is almost the only promise he has kept.

He predicted that, thanks to deficits, the budget would balance itself!

Trudeau added more debt to Canada during his eight years in power than Canada had accumulated in the previous 150 years!

He has increased the size of the civil service by 40%, but he pays companies hundreds of millions of dollars to do jobs his bureaucrats don’t do.

Bring back the youth vote?

Their flagship promises were, according to Mr. Trudeau, to bring back those under 40 to the Liberal fold… Very smart whoever finds anything in this budget to attract them to Trudeau!

They know that Justin has abandoned them and he, in turn, knows that he has completely lost their support.

The Liberals have talked a lot about housing, it’s true, across the country, we are experiencing a real housing crisis. There is nothing that will have time to build between now and the next elections.

The budget is a policy failure in this regard.

33% increase

Trudeau sought to position himself as a Robin Hood alongside Poilievre by raising taxes on the “rich.”

He looks more like a highwayman, because his massive new tax will put billions into the state’s coffers at the expense of many middle-class people.

From June 25, the portion of the capital gain to be taxed will be increased by 33%! (on winnings above $250,000).

The artisan or tradesman who has worked hard all his life, who has been forward-thinking and who bought an apartment building as an investment to pay for his retirement, will see his money stolen by Trudeau.

Your country house has increased in value and you were planning to sell it? Act quickly, otherwise Justin will retroactively scrap your plans.

Expect to see a lot of panic selling between now and June 25.

Who will have the money to buy and get good deals? The rich who will benefit from this Trudeau budget!
