Tribute bands bring legendary bands back to life

In recent years, groups of a new genre, the tribute bands, met with great success. They are talented artists, singers, dancers, musicians who pay homage to the legendary groups of the 60s, 70s and 80s and allow millions of spectators to come and listen to their hits in concert.

The group Mania, which covers the greatest hits ofAbba, has given more than 3,000 concerts in nearly 30 countries. The Bestbeats resuscitate the Beatleswith a larger-than-life Paul McCartney, and Jimmy Love, a Briton who has been preparing all his life, slips perfectly into the skin ofElton John.

Sidonie Bonnec receives Xavier Barbierodirector of Richard Walter Productions, producer of many shows (One night of Queen, Pop Legends), to tell us how these tribute bands were born, and the reasons for their success.
