The athlete from L’Île-Perrot will be accompanied by his compatriot Charles Paquet, from Port-Cartier, for whom success has been flourishing in recent months. Last May, he achieved his career-best result in the World Triathlon Championship Series, finishing fifth in Yokohama, Japan. Two weeks later, he finished seventh at the Cagliari stage in Italy.

Paquet said the recent Pan American Games allowed him to adequately prepare for the Olympic triathlon events, which will take place from July 30 to August 5.
For Mislawchuk, this will be a third appearance at the Olympic Games. The Winnipeg athlete finished 15e at the Rio Games in 2016 and those in Tokyo in 2020.
