For many, Monday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles was a replay of the most recent Super Bowl game, but for others, it was the most recent duel between the Kelce brothers.
The Eagles (9-1) continued their dream season by taking their revenge on the Chiefs (7-3) by winning 21 to 17, taking advantage of an uninspired performance from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

This game at Arrowhead Stadium was also to be the scene of the meeting between the parents of tight end Travis Kelce and his famous girlfriend, Taylor Swift. However, the singer resumed a concert in Brazil on Monday which was canceled two days earlier. The death of a spectator due to the stifling heat at the Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos on Friday pushed the artist to wait for everyone’s safety.
Kelce didn’t look bad though, catching a touchdown pass in the second quarter to give the Chiefs a 14-7 lead. However, the local favorites were completely neutralized by the Eagles’ defense, who even managed to snatch the ball from the hands of number 87.
Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts was able to stand out, well protected by his unit led by center Jason Kelce. The mobile quarter crossed the paying zone twice for majors in the second half of the game.
For the Kelce brothers, who are very close, the animosity was once again non-existent after the meeting. Travis also went to congratulate Jason, joking that he wanted to give him a late birthday present.
Mahomes could do no better than two touchdown passes and an interception, for gains of 177 yards. He was unable to repeat his exploits from the Super Bowl in February, when his three throws for majors allowed the Chiefs to win 38-35 at the expense of the Eagles.
