Transplanted with a kidney, he will participate in the 24 hours of cycling at Le Mans

We are not going to do exploits“, he explains, because although they regularly play sports, they are all transplanted. Christophe Gaborit, for his part, received a kidney seven years ago. “I have always done a little sport. And when my disease was discovered a very long time ago, I didn’t know how long I was going to be able to keep my kidneys clean. But I said to myself: if I play sports, if I have a healthy lifestyle, then there will be the donor, the surgeon, we put all the chances on our side so that it goes well.

The goal for Christophe Gaborit and his team is to relay the message of the association to which they belong: Trans-Forme. It is an association allowing transplant patients and dialysis patients to play sports and take up challenges throughout France. And above all, to raise awareness of organ donation. “The message is to say: it’s fine, you donated your organs to someone who takes care of them, who plays sports and who lives completely normally.“, continues Christophe Gaborit.
