The Conservatives will hold a press briefing in Quebec City on Wednesday to talk about the harmful effects of the tramway project, but they had a hard time finding someone to receive them to hold the event.

“We would like to demonstrate to the rest of the province the harmful effects of expropriation,” explains Stéphane Lachance, the candidate of the Conservative Party of Quebec (PCQ) in La Peltrie, in a video posted on Facebook Tuesday morning.
“What I find incredible, and this is where we need your help, is that we are trying to find one or two places directly affected by the expropriations and which will allow us to show in press briefings what damage it will cause the tramway. Well, believe it or not, we had targeted four different places and in the four different places, we were told that we did not want to associate with any political party.
Mr. Lachance finds this situation frustrating to say the least. “I respect that, but we are still here to defend the people who are oppressed by the tram project, and we are not able to get a minimum of support,” he continues.
“Honestly, for a guy who for two and a half years has been tearing his shirt out in public, I find that disappointing. The Conservative Party is not the Nazi Party. I’m a little angry.”
Mr. Lachance had until noon today to find a place to hold his press briefing, otherwise the Conservatives will talk about something else tomorrow.
The PCQ press officer has confirmed that the press briefing on the tramway will take place tomorrow on René-Lévesque, at Jean-Pierre Dussault’s, one of the members of Québec deserves better. Mr. Dussault was also a candidate for Quebec 21 in the municipal elections of Quebec in 2021.
