The XV of France holds its breath. Three days before the shock of the Six Nations Tournament against Wales, Antoine Dupont shortened the training session on Tuesday March 8. The captain of the France team was hit in the left arm.

The scrum-half (25, 38 caps) was injured on contact with a partner during the group’s high-intensity training. He was treated at the edge of the field at the level of the elbow and the biceps, ending the session with his arm in a bandage and surrounded by an ice pack.

The Toulousain then remained for long minutes on the bench, his face closed. “He took a blow to the biceps but I don’t think it was very serious, he preferred not to take any risks”said his teammate François Cros shortly after.

Impossible, for the moment, to know if Antoine Dupont will be able to hold his place on Friday evening when the Blues can still achieve the Grand Slam. It would be the first since 2010.
