Four trains canceled on Monday morning, delays of thirty minutes to an hour, even on July 25 in the middle of the holiday period, it causes quite a mess. TER traffic between Périgueux and Coutras in Gironde was very disrupted this Monday morning from around 7:30 a.m. after a signaling failure in the Montpon sector.
SNCF aims for a return to normal in the afternoon
Four trains were purely and simply canceled on Monday morning to smooth traffic. For the others, there was always a traffic jam at noon, with a 20-minute delay for the TER at 1:19 p.m. from Périgueux, and even 40 minutes late for trains from Bordeaux.
Contacted by France Bleu Périgord, the SNCF ensures that the network teams are working “for more than four hours” on the breakdown and hoped it would be repaired by early afternoon. Traffic will then have to be further regulated with possible delays before returning to normal.
