On July 12, 2013, several cars of a coral train linking Paris to Limoges derailed at Brétigny-sur-Orge station. This accident caused the death of 7 people. More than 144 others had been seriously injured and many others traumatized.
A multitude of works
The extraordinary trial will take place for two months, from April 25 to June 17, in the court of Evry. Five hundred thousand euros of work are necessary to accommodate the victims.
The box of the accused of the courtroom will be completely disassembled to remind you that the case is not criminal. Lawyers, heirs of deceased persons and seriously injured victims will be seated in this room.
An exceptional participation
Other people will be able to watch the trial live in a second room, through a video system. In total, five hundred people can be accommodated in these two rooms.
two hundred people filed a civil action, out of the five hundred identified as victims. They will be represented by around fifty lawyers.
