Images from the feature film Bob Marley: One Lovestarring Kingsley Ben-Adir in the title role, were revealed on Thursday.
The biographical film, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard), will discuss the life and legacy of Bob Marley, icon of reggae music and Rastafarian culture. The trailer released on Wednesday shows footage of his early days in Jamaica, his rise, his relationships and even the assassination attempt he survived.
British actor Kigsley Ben-Adir (Peaky Blinders, High Fidelity) will play the role of Bob Marley. Lashana Lynch (The Woman King, Captain Marvel) will play his wife, Rita Marley.
Produced by Paramount, Bob Marley: One Love was written by Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers and Terence Winter. Ziggy Marley, the son of the reggae legend, is also involved on the project as a producer.
