(Toronto) Pascal Siakam scored 27 points as the Toronto Raptors beat the Portland Trail Blazers 117-105 on Sunday for their first victory in four games.
Scottie Barnes finished with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Gary Trent Jr. had 19. Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby had 14 points apiece for the Raptors (17-23), who won just six of their 20 last meetings.
Damian Lillard had 34 points for the Trail Blazers (19-20), who have gone down three straight.
With VanVleet, Siakam and Anunoby on the bench for several minutes early in the third quarter, Trent orchestrated a 16-7 run that gave the Raptors a 16-point lead.
The Raptors — who had two spectacular fourth-quarter comebacks that ended in losses — played one of their most complete games in a long time. They led by 19 points in the third quarter and entered the fourth quarter with an 89-74 lead.
However, the Trail Blazers rallied and when Lillard made a field goal with 6:17 left in the game, the gap was down to just three points.
VanVleet stopped the boos that were heard with two consecutive three-point shots, which restored the Raptors to a nine-point lead.
Anunoby fired a three-point shot past the Raptors bench after Trent stole the ball from Lillard to forge a 10-point lead with 3:04 remaining. An Anfernee Simons field goal put the Trail Blazers within five points with 1:40 to play, but Christian Koloko scored to seal the Raptors victory.
