The world of French rap is in mourning today. We have just learned of the death of rapper Luv Resval. The 24-year-old artist was carried away after a simple asthma attack and it was his family who made the sad announcement on the young man’s Instagram account: “We have the immense sadness to inform you of the death of LUV RESVAL, our son, brother and friend, which occurred during the night, following a severe asthma attack, pathology from which he suffered from birth. He was both an exceptional young man and an immense artist: generous, talented, creative. With a unique vision of the world around him. We ask that you respect the loss of our family and loved ones. Rest in peace” can we read.
At the height of his glory, the rapper was to perform this Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Festival des Nouvelles Voix and was one of the headliners.
Upon news of his sudden passing, tributes and messages of grief quickly multiplied on social media: “Damn, I just learned of the death of Luv Resval, I’m shocked. May God open the gates of paradise for him., “Deeply shocked, my condolences to the family, rest in peace Luv”, “I am seriously shocked… we met him with PCN two weeks ago at a party… he was seriously nice… peace to his soul” can we indeed read.
Saddened by this death, Big Flo and Oli also expressed their sadness. “This one is tough… really, Condolences to family and loved ones” writes Big Flo while Oli also transcribes his sentence by saying: “Sincere condolences to all the family. Forever in our hearts”.
