The years go by and resemble the 24 Hours of Le Mans: for the fifth time in a row, it is Toyota that wins in the greatest automobile endurance race in the world. The Japanese firm places its two Hypercars in the lead, first the N.8 of Buemi/Hartley/Hirakawa then the N.7 of Conway/Kobayashi/Lopez. The Glickenhaus N.709 completes the podium of this 90th edition. For the French brand Alpine, this 2022 vintage is clearly to be forgotten. Penalized by a reduction in power imposed by the regulations the day before the start, the N.36 will never have been in the match.
All eyes on the centenary
This 90th edition barely over, all minds are already turned to the 2023 edition, which will be the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This will take place on June 10 and 11, 2023, with the return of major manufacturers to the premier category, including Peugeot, Porsche and Ferrari.
