Esports has been booming for over ten years now. Seeing it as an El Dorado and a way to reach young people, sponsors arrived, particularly during the Covid pandemic, when sport was at a standstill.

Salaries have soared, with professional players moving from one club to another in search of more competitive championships and greater income, even if, on this last point, the trend is towards moderation, after a rise in arrow.
