Elisabeth Borne invited the unions to Matignon, the week of April 3. “Laurent Berger confirmed his presence while specifying that he would of course like to discuss the subject of pensions with the Prime Minister. Question mark for the CGT which is on full leave. We do not know if the successor of Philippe Martinez will respond favorably to this invitation.”indicates Guillaume Daret, in duplex from the Elysée Palace, Wednesday March 29.
“All subjects can be discussed”
The journalist explains that “this invitation can also be a tool for the government to try to crack the trade union front”. Guillaume Daret specifies: “Very clearly, Elisabeth Borne wants to discuss with the unions. And moreover those around her specify that all subjects can be discussed, that there is no predefined agenda.” Before concluding : “It is not because they are going to discuss, that they are going to agree. We must be extremely careful since, moreover, this morning, several ministers recalled it: there is no question of returning over 64 years.”
