While the various conflicts continue to worry in high European circles, the idea of a defense shield, similar to that used by Israel, is beginning to germinate. But not all countries agree.
Can Europe equip itself with an anti-missile shield modeled on the iron dome in Israel ? The system allows the Jewish state to defend itself using its launchers scattered across the territory. When the country is targeted, a radar detects the threat, a computer calculates its trajectory and a missile is launched to intercept it. Germany is proposing a similar defense bubble for Europe, combining German batteries, an American Patriot system and Israeli machines.
