Monday, April 4, the request to be tested at the Covid-19 remains strong, while nearly 140,000 cases are detected per day. In several European countries, however, the number of cases seems to be stabilizing.
At Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle) many tests Covid-19 are still practiced, Monday, April 4, about 2,000 per day. “There is a recovery, an increase in the number of test requests. We have almost doubled in 15 days, three weeks”explains Cédric Battaglinosampling technician. This higher demand for tests is, in fact, increasing the number of positive cases in France. “Two weeks ago, we were around 23%, 24% positivity. Last week, we went up to around 30%. This morning, we are rather almost at 40%“, notes Damien Bon, pharmacist in Paris.
At the national level, the epidemic of Covid-19 is stabilizing around 140,000 cases per day. “We have probably reached the peak in several European countries, and I think that in France we are not far from reaching it as well”predicts Yves Buisson, epidemiologist and president of the cell Covid-19 at the National Academy of Medicine.
