All Saints’ Day, Tuesday November 1, is the day for celebrations of the dead. In Marseille, an association supports families faced with the loss of a child, and accompanies them on the long road to resilience.

Sandrine Borriello lost her little Roma six years ago. He was his only child. On the occasion of All Saints’ Day, she came to illuminate his tomb. This is an idea of the association “Le point rose”. To support families in mourning after the loss of a child, the structure has set up this ritual. The goal is to brighten up a sad place, by lighting candles. A symbol for a whole family and friends who came for the occasion.

“When you lose someone dear, it’s complicated, and when it’s a child, I find it even harder”testifies Philippe Pascal, friend of the family. Helping families find a form of resilience after the unthinkable, such as the death of Roma, is one of the association’s ambitions. Bereaved families, supported and accompanied all year round, if they wish, by the association.
