tour of France of unusual municipal decrees

A decree is the formalization of an administrative decision. In the case of a municipal decree, this decision is made by the mayor or his municipal team. Hundreds of orders are issued every year.

Generally very serious, some of them can be surprising, even completely wacky: banning UFOs from landing in a town, Pokémon from entering a town or elephants from going to a beach.

To discover the wackiest municipal decrees in France, Sidonie Bonnec receives Raphael Costa and Theo Renaudie.

Raphael Costa is author and co-director of Review of unusual law and professor of law at the University of Paris-Saclay. Theo Renaudie is a lawyer at the Versailles Bar.

Together they created the website Legal curiosities and wrote The Code of Legal Curiosities published by Enrick B.
