Tour de France women 2022: the route of the 6th stage between Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and Rosheim

It is a course dotted with hills that this 6th stage of the Tour de France women 2022 between Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and Rosheim which takes place on Friday July 29. The 128 km long stage will see a series of climbs, with no less than 4 ribs on the menu. The crossing of the Alsatian vineyard between Vosges and Alsace promises many possibilities.

The stage profile

The 128 kilometers of the stage between Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and Rosheim will be punctuated by a succession of climbs and hills first in the Vosges, with the Col d’Urbeis then in Alsace where you will have to climb the Klingenthal coast and the Grendelbruch coast. The Côte de Boersch will conclude the stage with its climb of 6.1%. The finish will be in Rosheim.

For Marion Rousse, “this crossing of the Alsatian vineyard will not be easy and a long-distance breakaway could reward the adventurers at the expense of the sprinters”.

The Women’s Tour de France takes place over eight stages, from July 24 to 31, for a total of 1,029 km of racing. The route will cross three regions (Île-de-France, Grand Est and Bourgogne-France-Comté) and 11 departments. Four flat stages, two hilly stages and two mountain stages with an altitude finish at La Super Planche des Belles Filles.

Twenty-four teams, including five French, have been selected for this first edition.
