After the first French victory on the Grande Boucle on Friday in Cahors, a 40.7 km individual time trial between Lacapelle-Marival and Rocamadour in the Lot is on the program for the riders of the Tour de France this Saturday July 23 on the occasion of the 20th and penultimate stage. This is surely the last chance for the riders to seek a place in the general classification before arriving on the Champs-Élysée on Sunday. This individual time trial offers “a finish bristling with two climbs to reach the promontory of Rocamadour” explains Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France.
The essential
- The first runner will start at 1:05 p.m. and should arrive at 2:04 p.m.
- The last runner to start, who will be the yellow jersey, is scheduled for 5 p.m. for around 49 minutes of effort according to the forecasts of the organizers
- Located at the end of the course, the two difficulties are the Côte de Magès (1.6 km at 4.7%) and the Côte de l’Hospitalet (1.5 km at 7.8%)

Just like Lacapelle-Marival, Rocamadour welcomes the Tour for the first time in 109 editions of the Grande Boucle.
