Tour de France 2022: follow the 12th stage between Briançon and Alpe-d’Huez

It will take fire in the legs and steel in the head to reach the end of this 12th stage of the Tour de France, this Thursday, July 14. Three out-of-category climbs await the peloton: again the Col du Galibier -already taken the day before- but this time in the other direction, the Croix-de-Fer and the ascent of L’Alpe-d’Huez and its terrible 21 bends. The exact replica of the 1986 Briançon – L’Alpe-d’Huez aims to display “close the battle of the Alps on a route designed for the sharpest climbers” assumes Christian Prudhomme, the director of the Tour de France.

And after the tension and the -already legendary- stage of the day before, between Albertville and the Col du Granon on Wednesday July 13, it will be necessary to watch the riders, the breakaways, the strategies and the jersey wearers. Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) is now the overall leader.
