Toulouse swimmer Léon Marchand plays his qualification for the Budapest Worlds

After having won, on March 24, the 200 yards medley of the American University Championships, the swimmer Léon Marchand plays, from this Thursday in Texas, his qualifications for the World Championships in Budapest and the European Championships in Rome. The Toulousain, trained in TOEC Dolphins, crowned champion of France 200 meter butterfly at the 2019 French Swimming Championships in Rennes, continues his very promising career in Phoenix in the United States in the international group of Bob Bowman who notably trained the legend Michael Phelps.

What are his goals at the European Championships? “I go there mainly to have fun, it’s my first French team in the deep end. I’ll be able to do my specialty shopping and see the international competition. I go there a little more relaxed before attacking the French championships three weeks later” recently entrusted Léon Marchand to France Bleu Occitanie. “The goal is Paris 2024 to bring back Olympic gold“, confided the new nugget of French swimming.
