Merchant absent, Ntamack at the opening?

Hooker Julien Marchand is therefore also absent, forfeit due to injury. It is another Toulouse, Peato Mauvaka, who could start the meeting well. Romain Ntamack could regain his position as opener, relegating Bordeaux’s Matthieu Jalibert to the bench.

Coach Fabien Galthié has 28 players to choose the fifteen holders and eight substitutes which will be announced Thursday, around noon. The XV of France has most beaten New Zealand since 2009.
