(Paris) The French cartoon totally spies will be adapted into an American series with live-action actresses on Amazon Prime Video, and the British series Peaky Blinders is being made into a film on Netflix, production company Banijay announced on Thursday.
The version of totally spies live-action footage is expected to be available “late 2025” and no date has yet been set for the film. Peaky Blindersindicated François Riahi, CEO of Banijay Group, during the presentation of its half-year results.
Banijay Group is the parent company of Banijay Entertainment, a global audiovisual production giant.
Series totally spies will be produced in the United States and will have American comic actor Will Ferrell as executive producer.
A phenomenon of the 2000s, its cartoon version has as its heroines Sam, Clover and Alex, teenage girls who lead a double life as spies, dressed in their iconic green, red and yellow jumpsuits.
This French cartoon was broadcast from 2001 for six seasons and was a worldwide success. It has just returned for a seventh season, eleven years after the previous one.
To move to live-action series, Banijay has partnered with American giant Amazon MGM Studios.

For its part, the film version of Peaky Blinders was made official at the end of July by Netflix. Created in 2013 on the BBC with actor Cillian Murphy in the lead role, this series tells the story of a family of criminals in Birmingham at the beginning of the 20th centurye century.
She achieved worldwide success and her aesthetic (vintage bad boy suits and caps) influenced fashion.
According to Banijay Group’s earnings release, “the production of the first film Peaky Blinders for Netflix will begin in the coming months.”
Last June, the group “completed the acquisition of Caryn Mandabach Productions,” an independent company that produced Peaky Blinders.
