TotalEnergies increased its net profit by 43% in one year

These results were scrutinized by all, in the midst of a controversy over super-profits
energy-producing companies, whose prices are soaring in the middle of the war in Ukraine,
and after three-week refinery strike that led to shortages
fuel. The TotalEnergie group therefore presented its results on Thursday. Group net profit increased by 43% in one year, to reach 6.6 billion dollars, in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Results boosted by the price of gas and oil

Results achieved thanks in particular to record results of gas and LNG activities (liquefied natural gas), whose prices have soared. “In a context marked by an average Brent price of $100 per barrel and gas prices exacerbated by Russia’s military aggression in Ukraine, TotalEnergies has been able to take advantage of its integrated model, particularly in gas liquefied natural gas (LNG), to generate results in line with previous quarters”, Group CEO Patrick Pouyanné said in a statement.

The group has already made $17.3 billion in profits in nine months, more than for the whole of last year (16 billion).
