Saturday September 16, torrential rains fell on the Hérault department. After the flood, the distraught inhabitants noted the damage.

Fortunately, we have great people who help us.”indicates a local resident. In the morning, precipitation transformed some streets into waterfalls. In Hérault, 500 mm of rain fell in places.
130 firefighters mobilized
To the west, the village of Lunas was partially flooded. “I had just sold a house. I had all the furniture that was stored”regrets a resident. The soaked furniture and belongings were taken out into the street. They need to be cleaned. All the residents lend a hand. Another river, the Orb, also overflowed. The power of the waters carried away vehicles in the night. To help residents, 130 firefighters were mobilized. Faced with rising waters, around forty people were sheltered. Saturday evening, in Gars and Hérault, the red alerts were lifted.
