The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has announced that it has made a second major cocaine seizure in less than ten days, in the Toronto-Montreal corridor.

Members of the Organized Crime Division’s Anti-Gang Unit seized 30 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated value of nearly $900,000 on Tuesday.

Approximately 215,000 tablets of speed3 kg of crystal methamphetamine and a vehicle were also searched, inside a residence and a warehouse located in Mirabel.

“SPVM support units and the Ontario Provincial Police are collaborating in the investigation, which is ongoing,” said a press release. The evidence collected confirms that the drugs originated in the Toronto area and were then distributed in Greater Montreal. »

A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with this case and will appear soon in the district of Saint-Jérôme. There could be additional arrests, says the SPVM.

On June 21, law enforcement arrested a Montrealer and an Ontarian following a seizure of 38 kg of cocaine. The two events therefore took place less than a week apart.
