(Boston) Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander could miss the first game of the first round series against the Boston Bruins on Saturday night.
The winger missed training sessions on Friday and Saturday morning. Head coach Sheldon Keefe did not provide details.
Nylander, 27, reached the 40-goal plateau for the second straight campaign and set a new personal mark with 98 points this season, but was limited to four assists in his last 11 games.
Nick Robertson should come into the lineup if Nylander is unable to play. The 22-year-old rookie has totaled 14 goals and 27 points in 56 games this season.
