Toronto Maple Leafs | TJ Brodie back on injured reserve

(Toronto) TJ Brodie is back in the infirmary.

The Toronto Maple Leafs placed the veteran defenseman on the injured list after he sat out Sunday’s 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers with an undetermined injury.

Brodie missed 12 games earlier this season with an oblique injury.

The 32-year-old hockey player has scored two goals and six assists in 28 games in 2022-23, in a pretty battered defensive squad. Brodie, Morgan Reilly and Jake Muzzin have all been out for long stretches since the start of the campaign.

Rielly recently returned to action after recovering from a bad knee, while Muzzin is still sidelined with a neck issue.

To make up for the loss of Brodie, the Leafs recalled forward Bobby McMann from their parent club, the Toronto Marlies.
