Toronto Maple Leafs | Ryan O’Reilly will miss four weeks after finger surgery

(Newark) Toronto Maple Leafs center Ryan O’Reilly is expected to miss four weeks of action after undergoing surgery for a broken finger.

Acquired from the St. Louis Blues in a three-way trade last month, the 32-year-old was injured in the second period of a 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe offered an update on his health after practice on Monday.

O’Reilly has three goals and two assists in eight games with the Leafs. Four of his points, including his three goals, came in the same game.

The forward won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019. He also won the Selke Trophy as the best defensive forward and the Conn-Smythe Trophy, awarded to the playoffs most valuable player.
