Toronto Blue Jays | Alejandro Kirk gets his first Silver Rod

(Chicago) Alejandro Kirk earned a Silver Stick for the first time in his career.

The Blue Jays wide receiver received the honor Thursday night, capping the best season of his career.

Offensive award par excellence in major league baseball, the Silver Sticks are granted after a vote conducted among managers and instructors, in the National and the American.

Kirk hit .285 this season. He had 14 homers, 63 RBIs and 59 runs scored.

The 24-year-old Mexican took part in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career.

For the Blue Jays, outfielders Teoscar Hernandez and George Springer, first baseman Vladimir Guerrero, shortstop Bo Bichette and third baseman Matt Chapman were also nominated for a Silver Stick.
