(Amsterdam) Kylian Mbappé scored his 41e goal with the French team on Friday by opening the score quickly in Amsterdam against the Netherlands, equaling Michel Platini’s total in as many selections (72).
Mbappé and Platini are now tied at 4e rank in the ranking of the best scorers in the history of the Blues, dominated by Olivier Giroud (54).
In a well-constructed action on the right side, the PSG striker perfectly volleyed a cross from full-back Jonathan Clauss from the 7the minute. In the event of a victory in the Johann-Cruyff Arena, the Blues can already qualify for Euro-2024 in Germany (June 14-July 14).
