Among them, the “accustomed“like Yannick Alléno, Pierre Gagnaire, Anne-Sophie Pic or even Pascal Barbot, but also younger chefs like Rasmus Munk, two-star chef at 30 and chef of The Alchemistan atypical restaurant located in Copenhagen and where you can taste no less than fifty dishes in six hours during an exceptional experience.
Who says prestige chefs also says tests still and always more worked. They will be “destabilizing, surprising and completely offbeat” announces Stéphane Rotenberg. On the first images of Top Chef 2022 that we had the opportunity to view during the press conference, it is for example a question of make a living dessert or offer flying food ! At the same time, the candidates will find the classic events such as the mythical Black Box or the Restaurant War, which keeps the mechanics on site and in delivery like last year, Covid-19 obliges, with a major surprise at the end of the game. !
Very singular candidates, a united group
Faced with these ever more difficult challenges, candidates at the level. They will be 15, 12 men and 3 women, to try to go to the end of the adventure. Glenn Viel evokes “very endearing personalities“, Paul Pairet “professional and life paths even more unique than in other years“. The leader even notes “extremely noticeable differences from one to the other“. There is thus a feminist candidate, a chef sensitive to eco-responsible cooking or even a competitor for whom “Fat, that’s life“.
These profiles are perfectly found between them to believe Hélène Darroze. “Last year, they had lived in a vacuum, there was a very united group beyond the talent. I told myself that we could not find what we lived. But we found a group with even more solidarity and friendship“, she announces.
